We had a pj day at school at the end of term 2. This was to raise money for the Horowhenua Room at Ronald McDonald House in Wellington. We had lots of fun being in our pj's all day.

Room 6 Worm Bin Inquiry

Oliver said "We have a worm bin in room 6. We put our banana skins in the worm bin. We get ground coffee beans and tea bags from the office women to put in the worm bin too. We put decomposing fruit and vegetables in the worm bin for the tiger worms to eat".

Road Safety

Room 6 were learning how to safely cross the road, using a pedestrian crossing outside their school, in New Zealand. They watched how the road patrollers did their job.

We have fun and learn lots of maths with Mr Beggs. He is a cool teacher and he makes it easy for us to learn.

Making pikelets

We learnt how to make pikelets at school. We had to be careful when using the hot electric frying pan and turning the pikelets over. We all had yummy, hot pikelets for morning tea.

August Storm in Levin

In the month of August, 2008, New Zealand has been hit by many storms. Some of these have hit the town of Levin. Many people had damage done to their home and property, many had no power and schools were closed. Students from Room 3 are able to give you this report.

Swimming fun

Room 3 had fun learning how to keep safe in the school swimming pool. We had time for lessons and for some fun times also. We were lucky to have such good weather.

Room 3, Blue Tongue Lizard

Room 3 had a visit from a Blue Tongued Lizard. Jasmine's Dad brought Jerry the lizard to school. We found out that Jerry came from Indonesia and that he is 6 months old. These lizards can live for up to 25 years. Enjoy our podcast.
